HMDA Plan on Hyderabad Logistics Parks
According to an article published on Express Buzz, "the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is planning a makeover, building two Logistic Parks replete with dhabas, cafeterias and restaurants cheek-by-jowl with truck workshops, petrol pumps and weighbridges.
The HMDA has proposed to develop these parks at Batasingaram and Mangalapally on the city outskirts. These Logistic Parks would be developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The HMDA has invited Request for Proposal (RFP) and set September 15 as the deadline for submitting bids."
I think it is a good move by the HMDA to provide specialized logistics parks to cater to the transport community. If implemented, this move will have a positive effect on the real estate prices in the proposed areas for the logistics parks.
